PROCESS AND APPLICATION

Next Step Care Management Limited will consider referrals from ALL Young People (with the exception of arsonists) and is committed to judging each application on its own merits.

Next Step requires referring agencies to indicate clearly the levels of support they deem appropriate to meet the needs of the Young Person, and requests that we be provided with a recent Social History report and Psychiatrist/Psychologist report (if applicable).

Next Step has, in its 13 year history, provided independence training services to hundreds of Young People from a variety of backgrounds and a wide spectrum of needs.

This has ranged from Young People who are;
On remand and in need of a bail address and support
Coming out of long term residential/foster care
Unaccompanied minors,
Young parents with children,
Individuals with sexuality/gender identity issues,
Exhibiting anti-social or aggressive behaviour,
Young people with mental health issues,
Young people with drugs and alcohol abuse issues
Individuals with a learning disabilities.

We will also consider referrals from individuals on the sex offenders register provided multi agency support systems are in place to meet their needs.

You may download an application form as PDF and post back or a Word document to fill in and email back, by clicking on either link

Once completed, it should be sent to the appropriate Next Step area office. If you are unsure please contact our head office in London.

When this is done, we will arrange for a face to face meeting with the Young Person, the Social Worker and our Project Manager to determine the level of support needed.
Should the Young Person wish to continue with the application, a Placement Agreement will be sent out to the Social Worker, and the Young Person will be sent a placement acceptance form to sign, which highlights the expectations required of them and details their responsibilities.
Once these are returned, we can move forward in finding suitable accommodation.
